Crash Twinsanity cannot save data

I recently downloaded Crash Twinsanity for my ps2 and burned it on a disc. Buth when i played it on the ps2, the graphics where not that good and I couldn't save its data (even though the memory card works very well and has enough free space)

Plus, i burned the game at 8x speed
Can anyone help?
