Forgot to mention, if someone else in your house is downloading from the site, it counts as multiple downloads (the site checks your IP address I believe).
Are you trying to download multiple files from the site? That is locked by design, to save bandwidth. But yeah, cancelling downloads on the site can be a bit finicky. Don't use the prompt the website throws, but cancel your download manually (are you trying to use two separate browsers to try to download multiple files at once?).
If you aren't downloading multiple files, and it still throws that error, then perhaps Vimm will want to take a look at the problem. If so, could you include the name of the browser you are using? Also, sometimes ad-blockers do some weird things on the site due to how it's set up, so if you do try disabling it temporarily.
