Re: ps3 emulator for old mac

Posted by Zengobag on .
RPCS3 or whatever runs on my Laptop.. Intel 13 4 core at 2Ghz with Intel HD 5500 GFX.. Rainbow Moon/Skies run but slowly.. Can't see ncaa14 passing a snail on my system.. I'm willing to download it and try if you don't mind waiting.. Will post video on YT and what happens.. Other option is to buy a cheap PS3 (80Gb Phat) and I'll help you mod it! - WILL incur extra cost if you don't have a USB Flash drive.. Software is downloadable.. NOTHING extra needed..

I don't know too much about this stuff, but RPCS3 (the main and only PS3 emulator I know of) recommends a CPU with [6 cores & 12 threads] or [8+ cores]. But it requires an absolute minimum of 4 cores & 8 threads. Look up what the specs are for the CPU in your Mac. If it does work at all, I doubt it'll run any games that are even slightly intensive, but maybe NCAA? Not sure tbh.
