Oddworld:Munch's oddessy seems to not be working

It loads in fine though xemu,the tutorial works kinda, the audio isn't working for voice lines, but after the first gate into the first level when you get the guys to follow you and pray to open the gate it all slows down to 1 frame a minute then freezes completely
