SNES Roms Not Saving State on Android SNES9x

Like the topic of the post says, the SNES ROMs that I've gotten from here (Illusion of Gaia, Hagane, Wild Guns, Breath of Fire, Earthbound) for some reason do not auto save state on my SNES9x I have for android on my phone. I thought it was because they were .sfc files, but I have a copy of an .sfc from emuparadise that does it properly (Star Ocean). Any help would be appreciated.
