PS1 Rom issues

Hello, first and foremost would like the thank this site for being a consistent place for my NES, SNES, Genesis roms collecting, has served many hours of entertainment
Now on to the issue at hand, i tried to get some PS1 roms recently and for the last 2 in a row, orge battle tactics and first legacy of kain, the roms would work, but i would get so far into the game, and would run into a repeating loop stop, thankfully these were both at beginning of game so thankfully not a ton of time invested to mitigate massive frustration, but has anyone else come across this issue where in a rom, it will come to a halt and just get stuck in a endless loop? Emulator is PSXfin which i got here
