It would be possible but I don't think anyone cares that bad and I think it's just a consistency thing overall
Also don't they come with a vimm text file? Probably the real reason imo

I just downloaded a WBFS file, but I received a 7z file. This is unnecessary as the WBFS format already compresses files with 7z. In fact, recompressing a WBFS actually makes it bigger.

Would it be possible to distribute WBFS files as-is to save bandwidth?
