Trust me, Nintendo would totally go scorched earth if they could, but these companies are required to issue a notice first to which Vimm must comply or risk being sued into oblivion.
Whoever did this was sloppy as hell. Tons of big IPs are still here and a bunch of non-English versions of them are still up. As are spin-offs, collections, and that's not mentioning all the inconsistencies when it comes to who sent the takedown requests. I'm suprised Nintendo only asked for a take down when they have always gone scorched earth on sites like this in every other case. No, this smells of a troll.
