Usually whenever there's DLC, a later version of the game is released that has all of the DLC included in a deluxe edition of sorts. Atlus does it all the time. I'm guessing both Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Smash Ultimate will get theirs eventually. Same goes for the Zeldas. I traded my Switch Lite in due to Smash's online service being terrible and too many lag switching cheaters. Plus at the time the Switch Online games weren't enough to keep me paying every single year while they trickle them out. I got a PS4 with the stuff i traded in and a couple of good games for it like Dragon Ball FighterZ and the Capcom Fighting Collection. The online is much better and they are a lot of fun.
I recently give up my Nintendo Switch since the hardware itself is a really bad design choice. I know the company is trying to make it easy for their business by focusing on 1 machine instead of trying hard to sell 2 at a time each decade and thats why they decided to quite the 3ds because they know more people would buy home consoles than handhelds as most of us are always used to it but as someone who has back and neck problems possibly due to age and weight gain, I had no choice but consider a emulator for Switch (there is one out there that exist but its currently experimental and is no longer supported since it was discontnued by Nintendo of America's request. My main issue besides feeling uncomfortable with holding the Switch is download content, most countries overseas does not support it because those countries does not have a Nintendo HQ and only we are able to buy Switch games overseas because they are imported from US! one of a few countries that support DLC, and to make matters worse they only take Paypal for payment. Not everyone in the world has Paypal and since its very complicated for me to get one myself, I am unable to play as Banjo, Piranha Plant, or even the Dragon Quest hero because they are DLC! I could imagine those who live outside of US that don't have DLC supported would never experienced those characters. Perhaps the only way to play as them would be emulator (not that we have a choice do we?). This was Nintendo's mistake, not us.
