It may be a silly question but did you try using Glide64?
This seems to be a pretty common problem but I wasn't able to find a good solution for it on 64. Most forums suggested using the PSX version which seems to run better (can't say personally).
I use Retroarch for emulation and it runs just fine using the Mupen64 emulator so you might try that one specifically if you haven't already.

I have tried at least 4 sites (not counting fakes that try to give you an exe).
And every one had has '[Glide64] missing:various' errors for this rom.
I'm not even using Glide64; I'm using Jabo's Direct3D8.
But the game flickers like mad and the audio crackles and fades in and out.
Does ANY site have a working ROM of Gauntlet Legends?
