Long Answer: Make sure the .srm files appear in the same place as your ROM. If no .srm files are created at program termination, change Auto-Save SRAM to 1 under Options -> Settings.

Short Answer: Use ZSNES.

Using snes9x I tried to save playing dragonquest vi . The game saved in Slot 1 (within the game itself) and then I restarted 9x, tried to restore the game but nothing came up!? All my work was gone- so what is the secret to saving/restoring games in the 9x Emulator, please?
