Controller Problems...

I just bought a Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 and I was dying to use it for my games but when I try to play my roms I can't get the diagonal direction to work. So if I'm playing a fighting game and I need to jump forward or backwards I can't. Just up. I'm playing off the Snes9x and the configuration for the diagonal is disable. I tried to set it like I set the other buttons but it only reckognizes left or right. Anyone else have this prob? Is there a better Snes Emu for my controller?
