Remember that frog coin mallow lost in the beginning? He was suppose to use it to buy food for his grandpa. Go back and visit the shop in the Mushroom kingdom, and enjoy the little cutscene.

i was wondering if anyone else has this problem or is having this problem with Super Mario RPG. i am to the point in the game where i just got princess toadstool and am now supposed to go talk to mallow's grandpa in tadpole pond to find out where to get the next star. here is my problem, when i talk to him all he says is something about missing mallow and how it wont be the same without him and wanting a snack. ive checked walkthoughs and i dont think im missing anything, does anyone here know what is going on?
