2000 I think Vimm has said before. Probably could find out for sure3 if someone dug through the hundred of posts here but... that'd take forever.
Also I think Nintendo did take down all the NES roms from the site way back in the day but for one reason or another Vimm was able to work around putting more up. So it is certainly possible the roms here could be shut down in future but that was a long time ago (if, indeed, I'm remember correctly and it actually happened) and the site has only grown its collection since then.

Iirc, this site has been up since 1999. Probably not true, but it was definitely made in the 90s.
