Apparently you can edit PDFs in Google docs. I also believe there's a suite of products like Microsoft office that is free and trustworthy, although I don't remember the name I'm afraid.
They only work to a point. I can't upload anything above a little over 100 MB and even then, I get some weird errors on the site's side sometimes. :(
On the bright side, I figured out how to crop the manuals. I can't do it with ones I've already uploaded since I don't have those files anymore and already pitched the physical manuals, but I can fix the ones I still have. :3
Unfortunately, that site can't handle files of the size needed. I found a way to convert them on the Mac, but sometimes the pages are out of order and I can't reorder them. Even if the pages are aligned, the cropping I do is undone and I can't edit the pdf without some sort of subscription. X(
