Emulator Crossover

I have another posting related to this, but... is there anyway to cross over between emulators? Here's what I mean. I've saved a FF1 game while playing on FCE Ultra. Is there anyway to pick up on another emulator - such as NESticle - at the same place where I saved it on FCE Ultra? Or do I have to start all over? "If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you ever tried."
