I'm pretty far. Those are all the files I have in my rom folder. Do you think it'd work if I deleted and restarted the game?

The save file is in the exact same folder as your ROM. If you use save states, it will be called
Pokemon - FireRed Version (USA, Europe) (Rev 1)-01.sgm

and if you use the save function in the game then it will be called

Pokemon - FireRed Version (USA, Europe) (Rev 1).sav

How far into the game are you?
