Damaged Format?

Hello, I'm on a new account (mainly because I've never made one before) and wanted ask a question about this issue I seem to be having. See Every time I download a nkit.iso file I go to extract it and then turn it into a normal iso file using the nkit application. However when I extract the nkit.iso it doesn't show that little disc on a page icon like it normally would after extraction. It still shows the WinRAR symbol and when I click it a box comes up saying the archive is either in unknown format or damaged. I can convert the nkit.iso to a normal iso but the same issue arises. I can also run the iso through Dolphin but when I go to add it through the paths tab under config the iso doesn't show. I've been trying to fix this for hours and finally decided going to a message board for help would be my best option. Does anyone else have this issue? If so is there a fix?
