There is a safe website called http://www.virtualatari.org/ that I've known since 2016 if you're just looking to play 2600 games. Otherwise, if you just want the ROMs for every game that they've made including more than just 2600, you can get them here https://the-eye.eu/public/rom/ as verified safe by this Reddit post, https://www.reddit.com/r/Roms/comments/9gzto2/safe_rom_sites/
