It looks like this just has something to do with the formatting of the iso/folder that is used for the rom. From what I gathered this is a format that was used by Redump before converting to hex some time ago ( though I don't know what the new format is). Ps3 emulation isn't something I've dabbled in so I can't say anything more than that really. Someone more well versed in the formatting or the emulation itself will have to help you there.
Bottom line is that it's just the way the rom was constructed and doesn't have any bearing beyond that.
