I myself haven't used RockNES (because FCEU works fine for me, but then again I've never tried GG codes), but there ought to be some sorta "readme.txt" file with your emulator.  Make sure you poke and prod all the buttons and entry forms to make sure you are putting your codes in right (the right code in the right way in the right box).  If all else fails, try downloading a different emulator.  (Or, use the memory-search function to come up with your own codes)

Just a thought, maybe you need to download the gamegenie ROM?

Maybe someone who has used RockNES should answer this one...

alright the game genie option, with the codes posted from this site and the www.gamegenie.com site aren't working at all with this emulator. any suggestions, or brief walkthroughs as to how I can get this function to work properly?

And the save state function isn't too awesome either.
