ps3 vita and preservation of online content

this isnt to this site in particular, vimm is one person and also idk if dlc or patches are even hosted on this site yet, and vita is like 2 consoles away? not 3? i think? but how would people preserve the dlc, and patches, that are going to get taken down this month (if they havent already idk the timeline)? how do people download it into emulators yet? is that a thing? im less worried about that than saving it all, if u have the data u can wait to get it working but with how short of a timespan it is to get the data im just anxiety about alot of games going lost media basically
