The two test configs in blue seem to mention a similar problem, so this may or may not be fixable. You could try the fix noted for the NTSC-U config - "Hack Time of EE of Multi porpuse" though I can't confirm if that'll work or not.

Hi there,
Was just posting in regard to Sega Soccer Slam for PS2. The game seems to work perfectly fine until any dialogue is triggered for any of the player characters either in the opening screen, or the short dialogue sections pre-game. The dialogue being triggered seems to cause the game to stutter/freeze. Was just wondering if anyone knew a work around to potentially fix the issue.
