Kirby's Adventure (NES) checksums mismatch
Posted by crissequeira89 on .
Hi folks!
So, I tried to verify the checksums for Kirby's Adventure for the NES, from the file in the vault. They don’t match, and to make things worse, I’ve wasted hours today googling for a dump with those checksums, but all the ROMs I find have been tampered with. They do match up with the ones on no-intro though, so they must be legit.
And before you ask, yes, I am aware that this is a revision. I’m looking specifically for this one (the original can’t be found anywhere either, not with matching checksums anyway).
I’m fairly new to this, so forgive me if I’m misunderstanding something. I’m a bit confused because it says there that it was verified just ten days ago. I’m using Terminal on macOS, by the way. (crc32, md5, and shasum -a 1). I’ve verified plenty of games (in fact, including all the rereleases of this game) which were all just fine, so I’m wondering if I’m missing something here.
Just wanted to make you all aware of that.
