Addition to this (important information)

I forgot to add this, but when it prompts me to press "2", the same problem occurs, acting as if I've pressed 1 and not continuing past the prompt.

I recently tried running Kirby's Dream Collection, however the controls are buggy. Whenever I press what's binded to 2 (In this case, x), it acts as if I've pressed 1 (z). Even after I navigate past the menus into gameplay, pressing x attacks, which is normally done by using 1, as 2 is to jump. Am I misremembering the control scheme or is it some sort of glitch?
