Not really, although I doubt any company would pursue legal action against you for wanting to download a 10-20 year old game. But if you want to play it safe but still play some games, you can check out ROM Nation's ESA Information on what games they do not distribute in compliance with ESA rules. It's pretty much all the big names (Mario, Zelda, Final Fantasy, Metroid, Pac-Man, etc.) so it could really hinder your ability to re-live the classics. http://www.romnation.net/srv/page/esa.html
