I ended up having to reinstall the firmware and go through the process all over again. Finally got a game to boot - College Hoops 2K8. Haven't tried anything else yet.
It doesn't appear RPCS3 can open .zip files. Does the game need to be in a certain folder? Idk what I'm missing. I'm on Linux Steam Deck btw, but it should be the same concept.
