Tecmo Super Bowl 3 is the most fun football game ever.
Build yourself a super team (easy trick: before you start a season, be the 49ers, create custom players to take the place of superstar players, enter the draft with the teams yuo put custom characters on as well as your 49ers, skip trades, drop the custom characters down to free agency, pick up the custom characters to the 49ers, exit draft, erase the custom characters, and the original superstars will be on your team) and conquer the record book!
And if you're really bored (as if doing the above wasn't enough) you can set aarbitrary and idiotic goals for yourself. Like try to get to 1000 points in a single game. I was so close!
It's always my answer: Tales of Phantasia. The game that started the "Tales" series, so popular it was ported from the SNES to the PSX, to the GBA, and then to the PSP, fans have spent years translating both the SNES and PSX versions into English as well as the short anime series based off of the game. The SNES version has the funniest translation of all the versions.
