Is it risky to Jailnreak an iPhone XR?

So, I wanted to mod an iphone 5S, but I found out it only has 3 gigs of available storage. But I have an old iphone XR. So is jailbreaking an iphone XR still too risky? Or is it risk free. Thanks!
