It's not dead. Vimms will never die, even if the ROMs are taken down, there are perfectly fine message boards, a perfectly fine database for emulators, and a manual project with more manuals on the way.
Vimms can definitely live on without ROMs if it needs to.
So I guess Vimm's Lair is dead at this point? all of the ROMS is already unavailable so technically it is.
