Wow thanks for clearing it up! Its a terrible shame for whats happening to this site and I have a really bad feeling this site won't last long if more games keep disappearing here, I only wish I downloaded more and thought it was ok just to leave the ones I don't really want or not needed for my personal collection. RIP Vimm!
No-Intro is a project which catalogs information about ROM dumps. They're a great source of information about different revisions and regional releases of games. Vimm uses them as a source of checksums to compare files in the database against. If two files have the same checksum, then they're likely to be identical and so Vimm can ensure that ROM uploads are identical to known good dumps as well as ensure that no file corruption has taken place.
No-Intro does not themselves make downloads available, however there are other sites where people will upload No-Intro verified ROMs. Vimm is not the only source on the Internet for them.
