Mysims Racing not working

The emulation opens fine and I can access the Wii home menu, but the game itself wont progress past the "save icon" message. I press A to confirm but nothing happens. Currently unplayable.

All other emulations run fine, so I don't think its a controller issue. Is anyone else experiencing this?
