A Nintendo question

I got a new laptop for Christmas, I transferred all the emulators to the new machine. (And added PS3 and Xbox 360, because I have more power here) All of the emulators work perfectly... except the bsnes. It runs all the games all right, but it's overclocked so badly that I can't control any of the characters! I'm going to try the SNES9x emulator, and see if it works better.
