Have you tried redownloading the rom or reinstalling the emulator? I'm not getting that issue with either Bsnes or Snes9x.

Anyone have any ideas why the top view levels are like this? Every Contra III SNES ROM I try has the same issue.
The Anniversary Collection version is fine though but I prefer the actual SNES game.
