That is true. However, it only gets easier as technology progresses. And I see no reason to update to better standards, running sha256 is not that expensive. It could maybe be done in a day or so of compute. I would do it myself but I do not have all roms downloaded. I would not mind cooperating with the server owner on this matter and do it myself.

Adversaries would have to make a file with a hash that matches CRC, MD5 and SHA1.
