According to Xemu's Github page, the only known issues are lag and framerate issues and potential crashes. One commenter there specifically said it worked with their Steam Deck.

I know it's a pain to switch back, but you might want to try running Xemu on regular SteamOS to see if it works there.

I certainly have batocera (on my steam deck v41), I got xbox to work. When downloading the game, everything works but at the intro cut scene (when the copywrite is done), usually there a intro cut scene but all I'm getting is a black screen with audio that cuts in and out through certain part. I tried going into the xbox advanced system options and changing things around, i tried getting different ROMs but nothing working. Does anyone else get the black screen at the beginning or is it just me? And if you have and knows how to fixed that issue, please let me know. Other then that, the game works great, it just the intro after the copywrite, its black screen with audio straight through the intro until reaching the main menu screen. From there it works perfectly fine.
