Download the one that matches the serial number of your physical copy. Presumably, yours is the European one rather than the ANZ one.

Sorry for noob question

I am aware that PS1 emulated saves may be transferred back onto a PS memory card and are compatible via the original game disc, providing that the serial numbers match.

However, FFVIII (according to Vimm and also Retroarch info > database entry), has two; SLES-02080 (PAL EU), and SCES-02080/ANZ (PAL AUS/NZ).

How is this possible?

I don't want to create a long save and then find that it's not compatible with the game which I purchased in 1999 in the UK.
