Vimm doesn't do anything to alter the games. All ROMs are regularly checked against databases of known good dumps to prevent data corruption. The problem is on your end, not on Vimm's. Make sure the game downloaded correctly and was not interrupted or otherwise corrupted.
Are you using an emulator or real hardware? If you're using an emulator, make sure you're on the latest version. PCSX2 is recommended on PC, and NetherSX2 is recommended on Android.
