You know what's funny? Coming here has history now... it's nostaligic to visit a site I visited 10 years ago for nostalgic reasons lol.
Nostalgia is a type of feeling. It is a longing for something past, or something that brings back awesome memories.
The word has lost some of its usefulness. Nostalgia is stronger when related to an item that has become scarce. When I was 15, my NES collection filled bookcases and drawers and was impossible to copy. When I lost my games, they were gone. But the Internet and storage devices (like discs and thumb-drives) allow for digital preservation (like games). So now a person can copy and give away their NES library on a disc. It may not be felt as often by people in future generations, but for me, nostalgia is awesome when gratified by a site like this. :)
