It is not about what is "allowed". As far as I know, Vimm is not placing arbitrary limits on anyone's download speeds. The fact is, bandwidth is limited, and the more people there are downloading at a time, the slower each individual person's download will become. Your best bet is to simply try downloading at another time and hope that more bandwidth will be available.

Hi, I am sure that this has been discussed a lot in the past here but I was wondering, wouldn't it be better if higher speeds were allowed? I mean, it takes 3-4 days to download a 13Gb ps3 rom. Meanwhile many things may happen and since this is a not resumable download, I have to start all over again if by any unfortunate accident the dl stopped. So, having an optical fiber connection of 1000kbps, those 13Gb would be nothing in comparison, which means I get out of the way much sooner and leave time and space to others who also download. I can't understand how dling with 80kbps is for the benefit of the site owners and the users...
