Different systems and different games have different file sizes for their ROMs. Vimm does not offer Switch games, nor does it offer Smash Ultimate in particular, so there is no way to compare file sizes and find out if your download is legit.

Additionally, even if a file is the right size, it could still be the wrong game, which is why it is better to use hash checks to verify files instead of simply comparing the file size.

Hello! I'm pretty new to the emulation game and was wondering about this site I found for downloading Switch roms. I was able to get Smash Ultimate along with all the DLC from the site in the subject, runs fine, no issues. What's making me curious is the fact that the ROM I got was 13GB in size, while I checked the sites on Vimm's Lair and the downloads are for way less, around 3GB in size.

What's the descrepancy? Is this site one to avoid?
