Sounds alot like Sid Meier's Pirates! atleast like the newer version that I played for the PSP. Can't say if it's at all like the NES/Amiga/Atari/PC/MAC/Commodore 64 version.
i cant remember the name of this game or what system it was for. i had gotten it off this site years ago and want to find it again. in it, you start of with a small boat and a small crew and you have to swordfight people and fight naval battles against pirates and countries at war. you go around taking over peoples boats, sailing into ports to trade goods and when youve got a big enough crew you can take over these cities. its like youre a pirate but the title doesnt have anything to do with pirates. i remember the music was good too, bunch of bach and such. any of this ring a bell to anyone?
