In checking the file I do see that it's the canadian version but I downloaded it from the US link last night, the link is still dark even. I am redownloading now and it seems to be the US version. Strange stuff.

Are you sure you downloaded Black Ops for the US region and not Canada? Black Ops for the Canadian region only had French language support.
