My problems with DS and screen/cursor orientation.

Greetings everyone reading this. I would like to air out a grievance I found myself with when trying to play Nintendo DS games online recently through the site and, in turn, I would like some help and a solution to my problem. If the latter of which isn't possible, then this should be a request for a fix. My issue is that, of course, not all DS games are always meant to be played with both screens at the top and bottom. Some games encourage you to play with the screens oriented like a book, left and right. By default, the site orients the screens to be top/bottom, which is completely fine until you boot up a game like Rhythm Heaven or Cooking Mama, where the game is meant to be played sideways. No big deal though!! I just go to the settings and rotate the screen... However, I soon discovered that in trying to position the crooked screen to be "right side up", it had affected my cursor. It seems to have gone berserk!! When I move my mouse horizontally, the cursor moves vertically and vice versa. Is there any way for my cursor to move correctly with my mouse no matter the orientation of my screen? Thank you for reading and I would greatly appreciate any help.
