It wasn't so much a "beta" as it was really an "unlicensed" Hong Kong Original made by some hackers that tried to make a fairly decent port of the SNES version. Try one of these ROMs.

I've been looking for a copy of the Beta Super Mario World that was originally on the NES, oddly enough it had the racoon cap instead of the feather... I must have it! Any help'd be quite appreciated.
