I played this at school, so IBM PC EGA seems likely. Surprising that I still haven't even found a picture of it, though. Anyway, few would prefer this version. The only control for hunting was 'fire', if memory serves.
On the plus side, I got DOSBOX Portable up and running and played the 1992 version of OT.
Thought I'd add that the first pic I posted was a cap of AppleWin, and I painted some artifacts out.

It's probably the EGA version, if it's an IBM PC version. You'd find it only in DOS form - no Windows ports of any kind were around back then, nor Windows OSs, period. :-/
If it was for a different home computer, and you don't remember which one, my guess would be either the Commodore 64 (abbreviated C-64 or C64) or one of the Atari home computers, such as the Atari 800.
