Something is wrong

Everytime I try to download a game, after it downloads, its nowhere to be found. And before you ask, yes, I'm downloading it to the proper folder. I've tried it with my nes and Genesis emulator also, and the same thing is happening. Is it my computer? I'm using windows vista.
