Enabling "Scanlines" in the emulator's display might also speed things up. :-)
Interesting how things come around for me lately. I went from programming PCs last month to programming CoCos. Now it looks like I'll be programming for the Genesis, thanks to "BasiEgaXorz", a compiler with a BASIC-like language.
Funny what you end up finding when you search for a Sega 32x BIOS, and let yourself stray off somewhere. :-D

Got them both running in MESS windowed at 640x480, but still too slow. The PC that I'm using is pretty old and has, as they say, lol onboard video. The adjustment that seems to be needed is located at >File >Properties >Buy a new computer.
VCC worked great. Good color and movement, only small glitches in the sound, likely for the same reason as above. Played DK Sock Master US version with difficulty set to 'Hard' and actually made it past the 2nd pie board. Not record setting, but finished with 79,400. Thanks for the tips! [ThumbsUp.jpg]
