My auto-update is nowhere near as good as yours. I actually have to run Shut Down to install the update, and it always takes OVER 30 minutes. With 6 GB of RAM. And a quad-core processor. And then it isn't even finished until the OS is restarted. And after the update is done, it restarts AGAIN.

Yeah, Windows 7 sucks. I only keep auto-update enabled in case MS ever disables that Read-Only B.S.. And no, I'm not counting on that. :-)

Last post should have read "NoScript (Firefox plug-in blocker)" and mentioned that I use 1/2 of a firewall (WinXP built in firewall only blocks incoming).

I also use this on occasion.

Re: MSAU

The other night Microsoft Automatic Update notifier interrupted my download, costing several hours of lost time before I noticed that it had dropped. Happens every month.
