Whew! Did I post that I didn't have much to say? I just ate my own words. LOL

Not much to say. I've run Windows 7 for about a year now, and it's been a thorn at my side ever since I started working with it. Over half the programs I try to run won't start up, due to DirectX conflicts, or Read-only restrictions. Any program that creates a temporary folder won't run at all, because all new folders in Win7 are Read-only by default.
Over 90% of graphics utilities I've had no problems with before are now useless, because every picture I load up is "improved" by Windows 7 before I can get to it (changing all textures to flat surfaces, among other things). The only programs that still work are 100% DOS-based.
Doing video reviews of movies is literally impossible in Win7; I've tried out seven different DVD movie programs in Win7, and Zero Percent of them run at all. Zero Percent.
I currently have Ubuntu 11 Live on CD, and it'll be a companion OS for the Windows 7 machine. Ubuntu's WINE emulator runs at least 90% of the programs that Win7 can't, and it's both free and Open-source. I also have Windows XP on a separate harddisk now. It's not a flawless solution, but it's far more tolerable than dealing with Windows 7.
